I am a 31 year old mother that left a job four years ago to take care of my daughter that was born with health issues. Due to my time home and my gaining interest in the medical field; I decided to go back to college to get a BA in Healthcare Mgmt. I have three years of college in so far and doing the degree online will take me about another two years. It is a double major that is why the duration in time. But, my marriage is not going well and I was injured at my in-laws house pretty severely. I fell on a unknown puddle on their tile in the middle of the night. I ended up rupturing three disks and one is hitting the nerve root. I also sprained my ankle severely and after five months it is healing but the swelling and severe pain and unstableness are still present. The ruptured disks make it so that I cannot stand, sit, or lie down without insane pain. Before I was injured I was applying to many jobs and even had interviews with some companies in the healthcare industry (American Board of Pediatrics). But now, there is no way that any employer would hire me and even if they did, I would not be able to perform the work. One because of the pain and the other because of the medications that I need to take. My marriage is not going well but I want to bring in some money besides my college refunds. I want to start supporting my children with more than just my time (which is not easy for them watching mommy go through this). I thought about writing but don’t know how to get started.
My in-laws have done nothing for me or my children since I fell. In fact the sick thing is that they rather enjoy seeing me in pain and having me not be able to go and do things when they are around. My MIL said to me today “can’t you be a nurse manager” and I looked at her and said “yeah, if I could move my body.” Then she asked me if any company would hire me and I could just work at home. I NEED guidance, please. Please don’t be rude; I am trying to help my family and the marriage going down hill started long before I was injured. My husband turned into a very irresponsible, unloving man and no matter what I did or even going to counseling helped. But right now not sure what options I have. Don’t want my kids to suffer anymore and my husband is not interested or motivated to get out and do something for his family (been laid off for six months). Thank you for your advice.
i am 13 years old, and i am a drummer. as some of you may know, drums are extremely expensive! I need a way to make money fast. It is winter, so it is too cold for grass cutting, but not snowy enough for shoveling. I cant do something like lemonade stand or anything like that, because we aren’t talking like, 25 dollars here, drum stuff is like, 100- 300 just for a cymbal. so please help me and give me some ideas on how to make money. and no answers like prostitution and stuff, I’m asking for serious answers for a 13 year old boy to make a quick 100 dollars [or more] [oh, and no online surveys either, not allowed]

I am a chapter president not because I am a successful businessman, it’s only bcs I have a strong desire to spread the Gospel. A 9-5 job would tied me up from what I am trying to achieve with this organization. My chapter is consistently bringing souls to Christ and I want to set up many more chapters like this. I’m a photography student, and I’ve just bought a flash kit. The ones at our uni are always broken or booked out and I live an hr and a half away, so I just snapped and bought one. Alas. I couldn’t afford a battery for the kit too… So I’m a little restricted. The main problem is, I was doing the maths and I just don’t think I can afford to keep the kit unless I can find a way for it to start paying for itself. I’m going to sell one of my lenses in the mean time. But… yeah. It needs to make some money.
I lack confidence to put myself out there for big jobs, but I wondered what ideas people have for smaller jobs that a student such as myself could undertake. Maybe there’s a market niche I’m unaware of. Or novel ideas, like renting the kit out (of course I’d have to go with the kit, since i wouldn’t trust anyone with it… kit rental + free assistant lets say).
I’m hoping as I progress I’ll gain more confidence, but right now. I’m thinking basic shoots, that a monkey… I mean… a student like me. Could handle.
I do have an online stock photography account, but I’m not really sure what would be be a good idea to photograph for that. All thoughts welcome.
